I like how you cannot drive a lorry in France on a Sunday. Bonkers.
Bakeries seem to take it in turns, opening in the summer, so that was fun.
Shop nearby us years ago "we're here for you thoughout the week (closed on Wednesdays)". #RetailLogic
My wife is French, so we've just come back from deepest France where the only shop open in town at lunchtime was...Lidl!
All done with a disparaging gallic shrug and a "bof".. Rules are what you want them to mean in France..
and it probably shuts between 12 and 2 pm too
Lucky it was open on Sunday for even half-day. Many big stores only open 4 Sundays before Christmas.
Unlike this country, buses and trains run every day, including Christmas which is more important without own car.
