          No they are not failures, but that is how many 11 year olds feel if they fail 11+ That is a fact and not ridiculous at all.

          failed my 11+, I didn't feel a failure. I went to a rubbish comp though. It wasn't till I joined up I was tested.

          Glad you didn't feel a failure Phillip, but many 11 yr olds do, especially if Grammars become the norm, as in my time.

          Is there ANY evidence Grammar schools aid social mobility. I believe research in Bucks and Kent show opposite
