I oppose grammars. I went to an excellent grammar, I have no children yet - but I'll hopefully be able to send them to comp.

lots of data shows poorer kids get left behind, 11 too young too - and middle classes tutor kids to get into selective schools

and could require grammar schools provide free tutoring for poorer kids for the 11+. Plenty of ways around any problems.

Toby Young had idea on my radio show: have schools 25% selective, but then have to reach out to poorer families too.
