exactly.... some kids just are brighter and should be helped to develop further via grammar schools...

Couldn't agree more, my kids education has suffered I'm sure ,especially with non English speakers in classes

only issue is grammar schools cant be allowed to be a 'cheap' alternative for wealthy kids instead of private schools

I failed the eleven plus & went to a Comp, left with nothing but the Army changed everything. Now have 'O' levels ONC Eng C&G etc

I'm not against GS but the 44 Butler Act was aimed at good education for ALL pupils. If 20% to GS we need opportunity for the 80%
