Anyone who joins
#boycottbyron is backing criminal acts, people trafficking & exploitation. Well done, you. Enjoy your moral superiority. -
Surely companies that employ cheap labour with few questions asked are primarily at fault? Easy to verify status, yet they don't.
-
they were handed fake documents by the illegal workers
-
oh well, that's that then! Pay £5 an hour and say no more.
#torybritain2016 is exploitative, cruel and venal. From the top down. -
no, they were paid min wage as legal workers but had lied about their status - a criminal act. Which bit don't you understand?

I wouldn't think so in this case, Byron hadn't realised they were illegal workers and should have paid them normal wages.
-
yes, in THIS case, but many thousands work for below min wage as illegal workers
-
I agree, but you linked your comment to the Byron article so forgive me for assuming that you were referring to the Byron case.

1. Employers bring down wages not migrants. 2. You don't care about precarious or underpaid workers so don't be a hypocrite.
-
how do you know I don't?

And their misguided attempt to boycott
#ByronBurgers will probably lead to job losses for LEGAL workers! -
boycott isn't going to make much difference. Most
#boycottbyron brigade probably eat Tofu/Quinoa not burgers ;)

no, actually that's completely incorrect: low wage employers bring down wages, no one else.

Never heard of Byron Burgers until now. Is this guerrilla marketing on their part?
