.@JuliaHB1 Do you want free movement?
-
-
-
@johnmcternan no (and, yes, I know Norway's deal includes that. But we can negotiate from stronger position than them) -
.
@JuliaHB1 It's a straight choice - no free movement or access to the single market. Which do you want most? -
@johnmcternan sorry for tardy reply. Been at lunch. I don't think it is a straight choice actually. -
.
@JuliaHB1 Understand that - but it is a straight choice. Single market comes with free movement. End the latter lose the former. -
@johnmcternan This is not a bizarre view. Freedom of movement is a nuts idea in union of 28, that may admit Turkey. Unworkable.@JuliaHB1 -
@iainmartin1@JuliaHB1 You may well think it is nuts. It is the price for being in the Single Market, as Norway know. - 1 more reply

@JuliaHB1@toadmeister I think Norway's wealth may have something 2 do with their oil reserves -
@semperfidem2004@toadmeister and have you seen what they have done with them? -
@JuliaHB1@toadmeister yes their SWF is legendary. They would have done exactly same if in the EU. -
@semperfidem2004@toadmeister nope, it wouldn't have been allowed in the EU. -
@JuliaHB1@toadmeister there's a lot wrong with the EU but it doesn’t outlaw SWFs. It limits deficits (in theory!) but u r free w/ surpluses

@JuliaHB1 After Brexit, Britain will be able to negotiate any trade deal it likes. Why do we have to follow Norway? -
@Kenhsilver I'm sure we'll get a better deal but even their oh-so-terrible deal (in the eyes of Remain camp) is supported by most in Norway -
@JuliaHB1 unfortunately the stay in the EU camp is exaggerating the complexity of the Brexit. Much like the EU rules on UK small business.

@hmatthews92@IanDunt ah, yes, but the majority of the people of Norway disagree with him. Whose opinion do you prefer to listen to? -
@juliahb1 (Norway’s PM is a woman) -
@hmatthews92@JuliaHB1 so was Margaret Thatcher and most regard that as a positive thing. -
@stephenhenley55 well, ok??? more just correcting Julia as she referenced the PM of Norway as him
