I'm on @BBCRadio4 @BBCWomansHour tomorrow 10am talking about why women shouldn't get time off work for their periods. Deep breath, everyone.
@susieblues do you think there are no men who are in physical pain of some sort when they are at work?

@JuliaHB1 of course there are men experiencing pain in work. Perhaps they get time off or a treatment plan from their dr (depending on pain) -
@JuliaHB1 however, considering how little investment is going into significant period pain from medical standpoint, and the fact millions -
@JuliaHB1 of women suffer each month, what's happening is women are literally suffering in silence. The pain is so severe is makes people -
@JuliaHB1 faint, vomit & have diarrhea. I'm saying, there's a solution other than "put on your stiff upper lip, shut up and do your work" -
@susieblues trust me, women NEVER suffer in silence. Take ibuprofen, go on the pill, etc. If need time off, get a doctor's note. Next? -
@JuliaHB1 ok. You do realise some women can't take the pill (stroke risk, DVT risk, depression), some are allergic to pain meds, some can't -
@JuliaHB1 take additional hormones. And to think you can speak on behalf of ALL women is a pretty bold statement. -
@susieblues are you still going? I never claim to speak for anyone but myself. It seems you speak for the entirety of miserable womankind - 8 more replies
