@JuliaHB1 BUT there are 19 individual countries in the G20. The 20th member is the EU.

@2eastwalk yes, but we have one regardless of EU membership -
@JuliaHB1 True but we have developed our 5th place economy as members of the EU. -
@2eastwalk and you think that is all down to the EU?! -
@JuliaHB1 Of course not but it certainly played a part. The issue is, would we be in the same position were we not in the EU. I think not. -
@2eastwalk there are plenty of reasons to think a free trade deal with the EU has helped us but no evidence that political union has! -
@JuliaHB1@racheljoyce@2eastwalk Plus membership of the EU has forbidden us from striking our own free trade deals with others. Huge cost. -
@wallaceme@JuliaHB1@racheljoyce And actually we have a free trade agreement with the largest economy in the world. It's called the EU. - 5 more replies

@JuliaHB1 Don't those who trade with the EU also have to pay + abide by the rues of the EU with no voice at the table on those rules? -
@tigerfish4@JuliaHB1 Really? Does the USA not trade with the EU? -
@willgilpin@JuliaHB1 We hardly the USA.... -
@tigerfish4@JuliaHB1 You claim you need to pay the EU to trade with it. Not true. Only to be part of the customs union -
@tigerfish4@willgilpin@JuliaHB1@BBCNews WELL worth a read.. esp in light of using BBC as a source. http://www.eureferendum.com/blogview.aspx?blogno=85902 … -
@tigerfish4@willgilpin@JuliaHB1@BBCNews I have other articles covering aspects of the 'still pay, no say' fallacy. All fact based.

@JuliaHB1 ridiculous argument. Some aren't democratic. One speaks Chinese. Doesn't mean UK would be richer by ditching elections or EnglishThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
