I've just written an article @Telegraph about moving exams for Ramadan. They refused my first draft which was simply "WTF" written 500 times

@Dubai_allergy @Telegraph exams are at the end of the school year. Terms set by Christian calendar cos we have Christian heritage & history.

@Dubai_allergy @Telegraph there is no reason why a Muslim child can't do an exam during Ramadan. They are not required to fast.

@JuliaHB1 Ramadan is more to do with adolescence than turning 18, so your logic is flawed (1/2) @Dubai_allergy @Telegraph

@JuliaHB1 Sorry, but you're wrong it's the onset of adolescence when fasting begins. @Dubai_allergy @Telegraph

@markmoulding I think that is pedantry, to be honest. The exam timetable has been changed (before publication) to allow for Ramadan.

@JuliaHB1 @Telegraph Your original draft is a rational response to altering exam schedules to accommodate deliberately starved children.
