@tomholder good grief, are we blaming the media now? Teachers more to blame for telling kids it's not for them. Have heard that many times.

@JuliaHB1 not blameless, the whole Laura Spence story is an example of perpetuating myths by media (and Gordon Brown). -
@JuliaHB1 Have you ever asked a student why they don't apply? I used to spend much time pushing kids to apply to top universities.
