@Roborovski1 no, my article was full of statistics, as you know. What evidence do you have for your last assertion? Absolutely none.

@JuliaHB1 But accept some of those may not apply to Oxford: there's no data on it. Can that really explain the whole 45% difference though? -
@Roborovski1 they don't apply in sufficient numbers. Oxford has stats on their website. I explained the various factors in my article -
@JuliaHB1 Oxford have no statistics on applications by social class. I checked. Accounting for factors in article still leaves giant gap -
@Roborovski1 most people accept that stats on school type, neighbourhood and parental income is sufficient. But I'm sure it won't be for you -
@JuliaHB1 Well, social class is ignored in our pretend classless society so I guess you're right there! -
@Roborovski1 I've never heard anyone - literally anyone - claim we live in a classless society. -
@JuliaHB1 Lots claim social class is irrelevant e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22012935 … - as you have in this exchange

@JuliaHB1 But thanks for engaging: hopefully a sign you have an open mind on this and are willing to look again at the evidence... -
@Roborovski1 I always have an open mind because I am not wedded to any ideology, just the facts.

@JuliaHB1 I've looked at sources and shown your article misinterprets the evidence. Oxford publishes no data on applications by social classThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@JuliaHB1 As you're the one asserting apparent low application rate explains low working class entry, ball is in your court to evidence thatThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@JuliaHB1 According to https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/206994/FINAL_Higher_Education_-_The_Fair_Access_Challenge.pdf … there'd be 45% more working class at Oxford if "representative of those with the grades"Thanks.
