Hateful tosh from @JuliaHB1 in @Telegraph. Clearly imagining the many educated, integrated, Muslim people I know.pic.twitter.com/ltPHwCzWJl

@wheatley_martin yes, because you know every single one of the 2.7m Muslims who live in Britain, don't you?

@JuliaHB1 do you? You're the one making appalling generalisations. I live in a "great city" and the picture you draw is not my experience.

@wheatley_martin I live in a great city too. But if you think we don't have a segregation problem, you're living in cloud cuckoo land.

@JuliaHB1 Muslim people live in same neighbourhoods as others, mix varies (obviously). Show me data showing any neighbourhood is 90-100%.

@wheatley_martin look the data up yourself. Plenty of evidence that Muslims are a particularly isolated social group.

@JuliaHB1 OK. Looked at the census for London. Muslims are not significantly segregated. No areas (wards) more than 50% Muslim (1/3)

@JuliaHB1 just 7% of London Muslims live in areas (wards) which are more than 45% Muslim, & only 17% in areas more than a third Muslim (2/3)

@JuliaHB1 a clear majority (59%) live in areas (wards) which are less than 20% Muslim. There, the facts (3/3)
