@CharlesRowlands pay tv, expensive phones, gadgets, alcohol, cigarettes, fizzy drinks, crisps, sweets etc. Plenty to cut back on.

@JuliaHB1@CharlesRowlands We're talking about WORKING people & you think they shouldn't 'splash out' on fizzy drinks & crisps!Unbelievable. -
@MiraDreams@CharlesRowlands actually a huge % of couples on tax credits hv only 1 adult working, sometimes only part time. Hence low income -
@JuliaHB1@CharlesRowlands That's me: I care for my autistic son & Mother with dementia while my husband works full time. So do you think... -
@MiraDreams it depends on your exact circumstances, doesn't it? I want benefits to go to those who need them. If you do need them, then fine -
@JuliaHB1 They ARE going to those who need them. Most would much rather have a decent wage than claim anything. Low pay is the real problem. -
@MiraDreams you have absolutely no basis on which to make that claim. Evidence suggests not the case for part time workers. -
@JuliaHB1 Have some compassion & understanding instead of banging on about Sky TV. You demean these people with your sanctimonious attitude. -
@MiraDreams I am not banging on about sky tv. I simply wrote an article defending a politician. Stop tweeting me if you don't want replies. - 5 more replies

@JuliaHB1 Are those things excessive or luxuries - sweets and crisps? What if you and I cut back on those and paid a higher rate of tax? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@JuliaHB1@CharlesRowlands We live in a country where some people who work hard all week are viewed as indulgent for having a beer etc. Sad.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
