@JuliaHB1 It's not an outrageous view, and I'm sure she's very well intentioned, but it's glib and, yes, a bit condescending. -
@CharlesRowlands did you read the full interview? -
@JuliaHB1 In the Spectator? I did. Did you read my first reply to you? -
@JuliaHB1 What else bar pay TV might they cut? And what of those beyond the few individual cases? Many will already have cut back was point -
@CharlesRowlands pay tv, expensive phones, gadgets, alcohol, cigarettes, fizzy drinks, crisps, sweets etc. Plenty to cut back on. -
@JuliaHB1@CharlesRowlands We're talking about WORKING people & you think they shouldn't 'splash out' on fizzy drinks & crisps!Unbelievable. -

@JuliaHB1@Telegraph As an MP you'd hope Crouch would have a bit more insight to offer than "don't have Sky". It's patronising and unhelpful -
@MiraDreams and have you read the entire interview?

@JuliaHB1@Telegraph Tea/coffee isn't a HR either. only water is. Small luxuries make a shit life a bit more bearable, but fuck 'em eh! -
@BigAlexJones and your point is...? -
@JuliaHB1 TV, just like tea/coffee is just another small luxury that makes people/families feel a bit normal. But why should they have that?

@JuliaHB1@Telegraph You've proved all my points with this article: you've used it to shift the blame for poverty on the poor & to ignore.. -
@MiraDreams good grief, you're just talking gibberish now -
@JuliaHB1 In your article you've reduced the complex issue of poverty to 'should poor people have Sky?' That's "gibberish"!
