@JuliaHB1 I would never know how 'objective' a set of statistics might be but 'working' tax credits were a *good* incentive 2 increase hours -
@MikeDavies_LV no, that is what they were supposed to do, but in fact they disincentivise the second adult in a couple to work at all.

@JuliaHB1 You lose 41p of Tax Credits for every £1 you earn above £6,420. (I googled). 'Disincentivise' is a generalisation of motivation. -
@MikeDavies_LV yes, but they are still better off and taxpayers are too.
