@JuliaHB1@openjools But Julia, I don't see why you are so happy to generalise. I'm left wing and would never spit at someone. -
@JuliaHB1 I am just quite surprised - generalisations don't help anyone on the left or right and I often have a lot of time for your writing -
@dickymoo and does my article say ALL lefties spit? No. -
@JuliaHB1 I have. "The politics of spitting, just like the politics of abuse, are uniquely of the Left in Britain." Just not true. -
-
@JonScriv and did anyone else on the Right support or justify that? No. Big difference. -
-
@JonScriv Tory types? Just as Labour folk have justified the spitting? - 2 more replies

@JuliaHB1 I wouldn't have thought Labour are "left" enough to attract violent right wingers. However, there's huge intimidation from EDL...Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@JuliaHB1 ...etc for people who are seen to be left. Even peaceful leftie supporters or a local football team. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/shocking-footage-shows-violent-clashes-6196973 … -
@dickymoo but no one - NO ONE - on the right defends that. Many on the left DO defend spitting at Tories -
@JuliaHB1 sadly, some do. But there are bad folk in all walks. What's your underlying message? You see this is divisive?

@nicolablunders
@dickymoo plunged into poverty? Name names, please, and we'll organise a benefit gig -
@JuliaHB1@dickymoo a facetious response. There is insufficient space here to provide you with 40,000 names.http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/may/29/household-benefit-cap-plunge-40000-kids-poverty-memo … -
@nicolablunders the definition of relative poverty is meaningless. If most of us were multi millionaires, millionaires would be in poverty
-
@JuliaHB1 children using food banks, being made homeless, and suffering malnutrition is both meaningful and real for the families involved. -
@nicolablunders no child suffers malnutrition in this country as a result of benefit cuts.
-
@JuliaHB1 absolutely wrong. It is one significant factor in rising malnutrition levels. http://patients-association.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Child-Malnutrition-in-the-UK.pdf … http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-31067579 … -
@nicolablunders malnutrition is a tiny problem and usually about parental incompetence/failures and not a lack of cash to buy food.
