@MikeMcKenna_ no, in her TV interview, Claire did not even hint at that. I doubt it very much. Poor choices at the time.

@Dubai_allergy their child tax credit is not being cut, just their working tax credit. They will lose £1k of their £35k annual income.

@JuliaHB1 Losing £1000 a year is a big deal. Maybe not to you. Why punish these "hardworking families" ? Heartless and spiteful writing.

@williamjohnbird no, it is money they don't need and I would prefer that money went to people who DO need it. Theirs is a lifestyle choice.

@JuliaHB1 So what about the inheritance tax cut then? Having a big house is a lifestyle choice too. The Right can't have it both ways.

@williamjohnbird you don't see the difference between how someone chooses to spend their own money & how much someone gets from taxpayer?Wow

@JuliaHB1 Rising property values is good fortune. On this as a taxpayer I too resent subsidising those who (as u say) don't need the money.

@williamjohnbird cuts to inheritance tax isn't a subsidy - it's letting people keep more of their OWN money. V different from benefits.

@JuliaHB1 It's a tax cut. I resent it as I thought the country was broke. That's what you lot fought an election on.
