I care deeply about the plight of Syrian refugees. I just don't think offering a golden ticket to UK for the lucky few solves real problem.

@JuliaHB1 Still, if a family is drowning in an ocean, it's difficult to refuse to save anybody because you can't save them all... -
@TheSplinterCell of course they should be saved. But only making that crossing cos of promise of life in EU. They weren't doing it before. -
@JuliaHB1 No doubt some opportunists are exploiting the situation. Many parts of Syria uninhabitable. Difficult to gauge refs. from migrants
