@lstwhl She's not very nice, is she?
Hate the "hard-working" phrase. Usually used by the well-padded.
Mining is hard work. Writing isn't.
@rgwarner and realised that most are NOT two adults working FT & many don't even have one adult working FT so of course their income is low!

@JuliaHB1 Haven't seen those stats. Assumes, of course, that full-time work is readily available. And housing is still too expensive. -
@rgwarner what? These stats are in my article and I state the source clearly so you can check them for yourself. FFS, read the article. -
@JuliaHB1 At work so skimmed it :) And the availability of work? Also, you don't mention the % which do have small children. -
@rgwarner well, most women with small children do actually work full time when would rather not. Why should low paid be any different? -
@JuliaHB1 Consider it a kind-hearted state subsidy to give them about the only advantage those kids will ever get in life. -
@rgwarner those kids would be far better off with working parents who showed them a good example: belief in education, skills & work.

@JuliaHB1 Frankly the whole model needs a rethink. Tech, etc., has clobbered 000s of jobs. There'll be more. Salary <> Benefit to SocietyThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
