Just read your piece On Tube drivers. Why don't you like working people having time away from work? @JuliaHB1
-
-
What do you think we deserve? How do you like to measure working peoples value?
@JuliaHB1 -
@RMTLondon I dunno. Something closer to average wages. Certainly less than teachers and junior doctors, don't you think? -
So you don't want teachers earning more, just train drivers earning less?
@JuliaHB1 -
@RMTLondon I think there are strong arguments for highly qualified good teachers to be paid more, yes, and on same basis, not tube drivers -
When's your article 'pay teachers more' due? Maybe you could write how the Tory anti strike laws will make that much less likely.

@JuliaHB1 @Timbleman@RMTLondon sounds like a great reason to join a union. -
People in unions earn more and have better t&c's on average, which is perhaps why Julia dislikes them.
@alexillustrator@JuliaHB1 @Timbleman -
@RMTLondon@alexillustrator @Timbleman what would I dislike them?

@SpenceUK99 and your evidence for making that statement is...? -

@SpenceUK99 have you heard any union official deny it? -
@JuliaHB1@SpenceUK99 Yes ASLEF is denying tube drivers get 52 days. 100% not true -
@ASLEFJubilee please explain why it's not 43 days... Inc bank holidays of course. If not true, you should make that clearer, surely? Explain -

@JuliaHB1@RMTLondon Say that to bankers. -
@jamesorior they're not worth their money but if private sector, up to the banks what they pay - as long as WE don't have to bail them out! -
@JuliaHB1 people deserve better pay not what some rich people decide to pay...infact nobody in the UK should ever be £10 an hour.. -
@jamesorior so let's pay EVERYONE £100k a year - and watch all the prices for everything go up accordingly. Good grief. Economics 101. -
@JuliaHB1 not that. Tell me What do you think it is reasonable to pay the following professionals Cleaners Carer Waiting staff -
@jamesorior they're not "professionals". No qualification to do those jobs - I know, I've done them. -
@JuliaHB1 They are professional in what they do. If you truly value them. But because you don't you think they are not.
