Lots of angry people on Twitter @JuliaHB1 What's your point about people who ride bikes?

@robbleden it's not about "people who ride bikes". It's about "people who ride bikes on pavements". Major difference. -
Serious question: is cycling on pavements a major problem

I am someone who cycles. And I do not see how your portrayal fits in with my experience. Perhaps stop stereotyping?

@JuliaHB1 No, we just want you to stop spouting ill-informed, offensive bollocks about cyclists. Quite simple really. -
@IndieChris71@JuliaHB1 indie Chris - cyclists in London especially are arrogant and massive chips on their shoulders. It's always "poor us" -

@edwinspindrift@IndieChris71 @JuliaHB1for such specific circumstances I would need to know the details, but very likely the drivers' fault -
@JumboDuffy Official figures show that motorists to blame in 68% of collisions with cyclists. So I think 'poor us' is a justifiable response

@JuliaHB1 A serious question. If cyclists use the road like motorists then why shouldn't they pay road tax. -
@Shangelus

@JuliaHB1 Brighton, the Greens have made the city a giant velodrome with a single lane for all the cars and they STILL ride on our lane!! -
@stewlongbody@JuliaHB1 "our lane". Do you own it? Show us some evidence that it is mandatory to ride on a cycle lane. -
@claudasaurus
@JuliaHB1 of course it's not mandatory to use bike lanes but mandatory cars use the road. Nothing is mandatory for cyclists -
@stewlongbody there's the typical assumption game I hate. I abide by the rules - why should I be considered as bad as the ones who don't? -
@claudasaurus
@JuliaHB1 If bike and vehicle connect assumption is vehicle in the wrong. Guilty until proven innocent. Equal frustration -
@stewlongbody I guess! But I'm impartial enough to recognise when cyclists do wrong, I don't just assume we're all saints. -
@claudasaurus agreed
