@juliahb1@thejeremyvine I was asked by my local police to cycle on the pavement, because cars wouldn't keep out of bike lanes… -
@daviddlow@theJeremyVine then your local police should be sacked - 1 more reply

@JuliaHB1@theJeremyVine my view is cars should be forced to cohabit with cyclists & never allowed to intimidate us onto the pvmnts. -
@opinion8ed_dyke I'm sure some drivers do that but up the solution is for cyclists to pull to a stop, not to go onto the pavement. -
@JuliaHB1 I was agreeing in general.I fully agree that cyclists should obey highway code.Sadly police mostly abdicate respon for enforcing.

@JuliaHB1 I am suggesting that you should train that water cannon on motorists who encroach on pavement space before you use it on cyclists -
.
@theJeremyVine I'm an equal opportunities water cannon operator: I'd set it on motorists and cyclists equally! - 8 more replies

@JuliaHB1@theJeremyVine My mother is in her 90's and partially sighted. Sensible to have cyclists on the pavement?! I think not Jeremy. -

@JuliaHB1@theJeremyVine and not condoning it, but perhaps you could think about why some cyclists feel the need to ride on the pavement. - 1 more reply
