@JuliaHB1 Some people think that families and communities would be happier with less shopping not more.

@thevicarswife I agree. I consider shopping to be a necessary evil. I just don't want other people telling me when I can and can't do it. -
@JuliaHB1 You don't think a day a week where most people don't have to work is a good thing? -
@thevicarswife I think many people now do shift work and would rather choose when they spend time together than being told to by the State -
@JuliaHB1 Sunday lunch with Grandma is still a big thing in our inner city parish. Families and communities need rhythm. -
@thevicarswife how nice, but why should anyone dictate that to people? -
@JuliaHB1 To put it bluntly there are not as many people willing to work a longer Sunday as there are looking to shop. -
@OzmaLionheart you are very wrong. Plenty of students looking for part time work. - 6 more replies

@JuliaHB1 I'll have to differ here can't we have just one day in the week that is not all about profit ffs? Keep Sunday special -
@freedomlynn123 nothing to do with profit, it's about people being free to do what they want to do not dictated to by the church or state. -
@JuliaHB1 They still can with the hours they are currently open on a Sunday, showing a little restraint regards consumerism is gd 4 the sole -
@freedomlynn123 no, it's about freedom and convenience. I hate shopping but I want to be free to choose when I do it. -
@JuliaHB1 Choice is not everything! -
@freedomlynn123 I think you'll find that without choice, you have no freedom -
@JuliaHB1 I wd not agree that not being able to shop 24/7 on a Sunday is a genuine curtailment of my freedoms. -
@freedomlynn123 the freedom to trade, the freedom to live your life as you choose. Yeah, of course they don't count at all, do they? - 1 more reply

@JuliaHB1 why not support your local corner shop? -
@corr_matt because I don't want to eat Wonderloaf, thanks very much. -
@JuliaHB1 when was the last time you were in your local corner shop but I'm pretty sure they will supply proper named brands too -
@corr_matt my corner shop only sells plastic bread. by the way, I do my shopping where I bloody well want to do it, not where you want me to -
@JuliaHB1 didn't ask you to shop there.wondered why ya don't support a local shop.plastic bread is an odd excuse but hey ho@SmallBizSatUK
