@stephenkb the piece talked abt 2 parent families. Lone parents should be given plenty of help, inc from absent parent. But they should work -
@stephenkb requiring those on low pay to work same basic hours as those on high pay is not unreasonable. Millions manage both work & family -
@JuliaHB1 Obviously unreasonable to compare as if jobs are like-with-like. I don't do any heavy lifting in my job; can work longer. -
@stephenkb again, many people work full time in labouring jobs. People who work part time will always be poor. Only route out is full time. -
