@JuliaHB1 no Julia, many ordinary middle managers earn this, you need to look outside your bubble

@flossy_anna I think you will find that £60,500 annual salary puts you in the top 10% of earners. "Many"??!? -
@JuliaHB1 yes many ordinary hardworking managers, admittedly in the south, can earn this and more with the right experience. -
@flossy_anna again you say "many" but this is a tiny minority of the population -
@JuliaHB1 true but I'm saying that it's not unheard of, and I worked in a bank for many years on a pittance, so not all bankers are rich!

@JuliaHB1 Dr's do, good lawyers do, Senior Management do, Head teachers do - don't jump on the bash bandwagon. -
@MissCJWright No, average junior doctors don't earn anything like and I know many lawyers who don't too. Headteachers do but teachers don't.

@JuliaHB1 just to add to the choir, you wouldn't find an experienced geoscientist working for MP's salary, even senior IT workers earn more. -
@Tzcttwit I imagine a geoscientist has some qualifications involving years of training to do that job. What qualification do MPs require?

@JuliaHB1 If you can't live on £60k, you're the wrong person for the job. -
-
@MissCJWright Tosh. MP chooses to serve the people. If large salary is your aim (which is fine) then don't become an MP. We're not all same
