CYCLISTS. If we all put in £5, we can buy Addison Lee and force their drivers to use wing mirrors: http://gu.com/p/4xnh4/tw  (via @HenryPryor)

@JuliaHB1 @HenryPryor I love the idea that a person not wearing hi-viz deserves to be struck by a car. Is this pedestrians too?

.@theJeremyVine @HenryPryor I didn't suggest that at all! It just astounds me how few cyclists help themselves stay safe by being visible.

@JuliaHB1 @Disingenuous You're victim blaming as usual. How much does hi viz improve rider visibility? Driver attention by far biggest factor

@mrpaulorton @JuliaHB1 My point exactly. It's more victim blaming. If a child is hit, do we look at what they are wearing?

@Disingenuous @mrpaulorton Children and cars aren't supposed to be on the same bits of road at the same time. Cyclists and cars are.

@JuliaHB1 Julia, I agree re invisibility of cyclists. I'm a non driver, but even as a pedestrian with 20:20 vision they can be hard to spot.
