@JuliaHB1 I agree. It's completely unnecessary. Just take the bird out of the bag, and put it in the oven - simple! -
@johnbs100@JuliaHB1 Pluck it first, surely? -
@Steve_o_herts@JuliaHB1 Yes and if it's completely fresh take the bits out - a nasty job and the butcher should have done it already! -
@johnbs100@JuliaHB1 Catch it, grab its wings, twist neck quickly, pluck, remove head, giblets and feet. Truss. Let rest. Cook.#bootiful -
@Steve_o_herts@JuliaHB1 To be honest I was thinking of the supermarket chickens which already come in a plastic bag or case. -
@johnbs100@JuliaHB1 Sorry, I live in the country and know several butchers, gamekeepers and poachers. As you were.

@JuliaHB1 all it does is spread bacteria into sink area. All the bacteria on the chicken wd be killed off by the cooking of it thoroughly -
@Hellebollis@JuliaHB1 What about the bits that aren't bacteria, chemicals from plastic packaging or even worse, chemicals inside the meat.
