If you genuinely think Greta Thunberg isn’t a vulnerable child being exploited by her parents & every adult around her to further their political aims, you need to read what Greta’s own mother says about her deeply troubled child. It’s heart-breaking.https://quillette.com/2019/04/23/self-harm-versus-the-greater-good-greta-thunberg-and-child-activism/ …

Remember when you were ripping the piss out of her? Yesterday? It’s as if you change your stance more often than your underwear.
-
Thanks for that image, man.

Jokes are funny generally Julia. Otherwise they’re just poisonous and frankly, a bit fucking embarrassing.

Christ, she's really rattled you hasn't she? It's cringeworthy and simultaneously hilarious.

It appears that Greta's family support her to speak for herself and fight against climate change not sure how this is exploiting her looks like good practice on supporting a teenager with Asperger's to me...just hope that they keep on doing so
-
Greta and Beata’s parents fight hard for their daughters to receive assistance for mental imbalance at a specialised school. When Greta refuses to eat they do everything they can to save her from starving herself. She also goes through prolonged periods of mutism.
-
“Mental imbalance”? Autism is not mental imbalance! And it’s normal for people with autism to have rules around their food.
-
I believe that Greta is also raising awareness for people on the spectrum she is doing amazing things despite her difficulties and showing the strengths that she has... sadly there will always be negative nasty critics
-
I was quoting directly from the book that her mother wrote. So direct your accusations of nastiness to the mother and not me. I wasn’t previously aware of the heart breaking story of how serious her mental health issues are, til I read her mother’s book passages.
-
Really not sure how I accused you of being nasty.... however rather a lot of these messages srr

Do you parent other parents' children too?
-
Only when she disagrees with their politics?

He made a statement, there's a difference.
-
His joke or statement will have no ill effect on Greta packing a deeply troubled child on a catamaran to cross a ocean with zero sailing experience however could be extremely dangerous for her
-
Indeed. The stupidity & danger of this misadventure appears to be lost on so many

You make it sound like she is sailing the boat.
-
Have you ever been in a boat that size in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight? Do you have the foggiest notion what that feels like? If there's a chaperone flotilla then where's the carbon free aspect to this escapade?
-
I’ve been out sea fishing several times I am incredibly lucky I have natural sea legs however the others on the trips where absolutely destroyed beyond comprehension violently sick and grey it could be a long two weeks
-
As a youngster I went out on my dad's small fishing craft & I've done a bit of sea fishing locally & N. Wales (plus other stuff) but that was just off/round the coast line. Ocean going is a whole other kettle of fish, as they say.
-
Smaller the boat the worse the swell if the kid don’t cope well with sea sickness it will be akin to being tortured but it’s a fantastic bit of virtue signalling
