Hi Greta, I’ve just booked some long haul flights for my family to enjoy some winter sun on the beach this Christmas. Level of guilt being felt: 0%pic.twitter.com/BVE3JyiNgi

4. She isn’t trying to save the earth. The earth doesn’t need saving, she is just being exploited by a cynical eco cult to further their political aims. 5. You should aim your anger at them. 6. It is unfathomable that you are a working journalist and don’t understand these things
"The earth doesn't need saving", ok Julia
@JuliaHB1 is correct Einstein.
Co2 is plant food.
You are aware that we're killing off the plants? Chopping down trees faster than we're replanting them. Areas of the world that weren't desert before, now are... so no plants there.
That's bollocks. There's a global greening going on.
As the ice caps and glaciers melt... #dunce
Try and google Amazon deforestation
I'm not saying people aren't cutting down vast swathes of forest. I'm merely stating, that naturally, with this increase in lovely CO2, there is global greening in progress.
"Lovely CO2" wow you're deep in denial It does stimulate plant growth, it's true, but not nearly enough to keep its levels from skyrocketing and thus temperature records being broken each year
"I haven't been remotely aggressive towards Greta. My tweet simply mocks her ridiculous demands." If a teen of same age had her demand mock that just so happens to align with YOUR beliefs, would you be angered by those who did the mocking? Yes or no, both answers are sad.
You can disagree with her on the issue, but why do you have to mock her? Why mock anyone? Why not civilly engage on the issue? Mocking comes from hate.
Never see any actual rebuttal using facts about the science. Just personalised fuckery. Maybe you should shut up.
“I haven’t been remotely aggressive...I’m just mocking her.”
You're absolutely mocking her. Even if you believe she's being used or exploited, wouldn't that be even more cause to restrain yourself from mocking her (as opposed to her parents?) I find this so troubling.
If you really believed Greta was being exploited by her parents you would have addressed your tweet to them, nor her.
"I haven't been aggressive towards a teen, I've just been mocking her" That's much better Julia! You are my hero!
Her ridiculous demands? SHE is the one who chooses to travel by train or boat to avoid planes. How is that demanding of anyone? She is making a decision to do her part in trying to save our dying planet, and you’re a grown woman mocking those decisions. For what?
So, you'd never exploit your own child - But this one is fine?
You say you haven't been "aggressive" but then admit to mocking her. That's an aggressive move.
She's a CHILD - doing more for than world than you, and inspiring a generation...So you tear her down. Classy.
Have to block you.....WOW YOU'RE AWFUL!!
You’re targeting a teenager. Shame on you.
