Exclusive - Caroline Lucas throws down the gauntlet and offers to broker a government of national unity. It would be an all-female cabinet and aim would be to block no-deal Brexit. So Caroline Lucas wants an anti-democratic, anti-equality goverment forced on us witn out us voting for it. Gotta give it to her it's a very European way of thinking.

Currently UK is governed by an undemocratic government which has neither been approved by the voters nor the parliament.

Yes, I do. 100 per cent. It is all constitutional. But: the voters elect the MP. The MP represent the constitutencies. But the PM is not elected by the Commons but selected by the Queen without approval by the Commons. That works only well in a 2-Party-System.

The PM is the leader of the party that can command a majority in the Commons. The PM *is* effectively elected by the Commons. A PM who can’t command a majority of MPs (whether with his/her own party or with other parties) can’t remain as PM. We don’t elect PMs and never have done

You are both right, but in different ways. But the truth is that we do have a central cabinet of extremists who do not represent the majority of people's views - and some of whom have *very* undemocratic objectives.

Quite right JHB, what we need more than anything is a Government which is goal oriented. The current goal is to leave EU 31.10.19, the next goal will be to be reelected with working majority, then the radically shake up Education, NHS, and North South divide. Go Boris!

Yes I know. But it does not work very well with a minority government and a split parliament. How can you be sure that the PM command a majority of MPs without asking them? It is the other way round: the PM is *not* elected (when?), but it needs a majority to get rid of him.
