Yes, I do. 100 per cent. It is all constitutional. But: the voters elect the MP. The MP represent the constitutencies. But the PM is not elected by the Commons but selected by the Queen without approval by the Commons. That works only well in a 2-Party-System.
-
The PM is the leader of the party that can command a majority in the Commons. The PM *is* effectively elected by the Commons. A PM who can’t command a majority of MPs (whether with his/her own party or with other parties) can’t remain as PM. We don’t elect PMs and never have done
-
You are both right, but in different ways. But the truth is that we do have a central cabinet of extremists who do not represent the majority of people's views - and some of whom have *very* undemocratic objectives.
-
We've found our from the likes of Cooper & Soubry that MP's aren't interested in what their constituents want. They just lie for the votes.
-
I'm not even sure most people know what they want - in any detail anyway- or if they do know, its different from what everyone else wants!

Dangerous road there assuming anything a democracy does is democratic. Boris has less of a mandate than May did because he hasn't won a GE. May barely clung onto power at the last GE using a bung to the DUP.

Democracy-an illusion to quench the masses. Where was democracy re: “we're a diverse' & multicultural nation"-where was vote? No vote on important & dangerous mass immigration? Why repeat “we're a diverse and multicultural nation" over and over prior to mass immigration??

Democracy by representation can never be true democracy. Do other's see this too?

If democracy existed the government would have carried out BREXIT by now. If democracy existed it wouldn't be government's place to hold further HOC votes on BREXIT. Government (govern mentality?!) don't do what you ask, they do what suits them and their EU pensions and perks!
