I don’t want to be unkind, but does the National Grid not have some kind of back-up?

The tree huggers would have us rely on wind and solar which doesn’t seem to be working.

Obviously someone who dies not realise that our grid can take up and distribute a mixed bag of energy sources according to conditions. At the moment it’s 27.5% wind; gas 29%; nuclear 21.5 and coal 1.5%. Another day will be different. ‘Tree huggers’ just shows your ignorance.

Our energy isn’t 27% wind. Our electricity is about 15% wind and electricity is only about a third of our energy needs.
