    Julia Hartley-Brewer Retweeted Britain Elects

Well, that’s British politics in a nutshell: if Boris doesn’t deliver Brexit on 31 October, the Leave vote will be split Tory/Brexit party & Remain wins. The Brexit Party doesn’t have to win seats - but it can ensure that Tory MPs will be wiped out. Lesson learned, I hope.https://twitter.com/britainelects/status/1157098753108713472 …

The other lesson for @Conservatives is that if you have an MP who has admitted to putting in false expense claims, don’t put him up for re-election and think the voters won’t care!

Erm. Boris didn't 'put him up for election ', that was Theresa May, as a toxic parting gift to Boris.

That's democracy at work, Julia. Have a look at the latest polls - 61% want to remain. That is also democracy. Brexit is not democracy.

Polls..... Let’s instead look at a FACTUAL result that happened last night.... Below 50% votes for Remain parties, you insufferable losers aided by the Liberal media and spineless MPs is what have us as this juncture. We’re leaving, Boris knows now he has to deliver.

That may or may not be true but these results certainly don't suggest support for Leave is waning. In fact suggests the opposite.

LibDems, the #BollocksToBrexit party unseated the Tory MP & won and that's somehow showing support for Leave. Will you ever face the truth, Brexit is awful & the country are starting to see through the lies. We must #StopBrexitSaveBritain

Interesting that a few weeks ago in the EU elections there were "remain parties", and all remain votes were counted as one. Now we're back to individual parties? Other parties stood aside to give Libdems victory here. Similar pact for Brexit parties would've given them victory.

Fair point, it was pretty much 50/50. Still for Tories to lose that seat while pushing Brexit & Libs to win shows the country is split & moving to Remain. As more people see the truth (docs like #TheGreatHack help) & damage Brexit causes Leave are being exposed as liars.

If they had put up a fresh candidate instead of the one just found guilty of fiddling expenses they would probably have won. What a stupid decision that was.
