More dumbing down by the weak willed to appease the inadequate. What’s happened to us?

Your tweet captures the last 50 years in Britain perfectly.

My law degree was so tough that at the time, 2/3 failed the first year exams. That's the sort of standard I like.
-
Did you retake it then

FFS if people can’t speak English why would they be practicing English law.
-
So they can use the system to their own advantage and against those that try to stop this. How many Asians get legal aid ? How many Asians are “immigration lawyers” - all self serving. They have had the school curriculum dumbed down for years.

Yep, that's what they want, to drag everyone else down to their level. Makes it easier to control the masses if everyone is thick.

Don't you need a good knowledge of English to practice law, they do tend to use some rather complicated words to, and one word in the wrong place, would make a legal document mean something quite different from how you intended it to read.
-
Yes - a high pass in English should be a minimum requirement. The law tomes are in depth and complicated - and I studied business law as a side to accountancy - I suspect criminal & civil law to be more complicated. And you need to refer to past case law too. It’s madness.

I can barely believe I am living in the United Kingdom any more - the country that, to a large degree, established the standards of law, business practice and governance by which much of the world has lifted itself up. I despair.
-
And then the Queen was banned from Northern Ireland .... any more?
