Except this "cult" is scientifically backed up by every mainstream environment and climate scientist so that comparison so both disingenuous and inaccurate.

No, the doomsday stuff isn’t backed up by the science at all. Concern about pollution, fossil fuels etc is sensible. This stuff is just a death cult.

Let me put it simply. People are consumers; the world has limited resources. The people driving us to Doomsday are those who are wilfully ignorant.

Agree. I'm not a hippy, I don't identify with the green movement, I eat way too much red meat, I'm just a normal person, but it seems self evident what's happening and if you're not terrified, then you don't understand what's happening and what will happen within our lifetimes.

It's was all written down 48 years ago in "The Limits to Growth". Their projections are basically correct. We are hitting multiple limits simultaneously - soil erosion, climate change, mass extinctions, deforestation, plastic pollution, etc, and our ability to cope is imploding.

The tipping point and runaway climate change is backed by science. A death cult glorifies and obsesses over death. There's no glorification here and any obsession is IMO warranted by the severity of the predicted harm.

I wish that was true. Artic is giving off methane which is a greenhouse gas in itself. The methane feedback loop has started 70 years earlier than predicted. Ice melt accelerating all over the world. It's not good.

The worse thing about all this? They’re frightening the children to death. It’s bordering on child abuse. Children being interviewed and breaking down in tears because they’re frightened the world is going to end in 18? 14? months or whenever these lunatics are saying lately?
