Maybe Jess would like to fund alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll of these kids?

I doubt it - Jess (and many others) believe that it is the government & taxpayers responsibility to look after their children
-
Yep, her principles & someone else's money

They were forced to disclose their sexual assault on order to still receive benefits they are entitled to. The alternative would be to give child benefits for all children just as we did before we became a country with zero compassion. Or foresight...poverty costs the UK £bns
-
Good job it’s at its lowest for decades then.

Please provide source? 4m in deep poverty, 7m in persistent poverty, including 2.3m children. 14.3m in poverty in total, according to the Social Metrics Commission. Says although rates have stayed fairly similar since 2000, more vulnerable groups have gone into poverty since 2013
-
Alao says austerity measures such as benefits freeze have reversed earlier downward trends. Joseph Rowntree say child poverty has been rising since 2011/12, and 4m *workers* are now in poverty. Austerity has worked wonders hasn't it...
-
The cap also implies that there is a choice in either needing the benefits or having the amount of children.. if you are made unemployed or become ill but happen to have 4 kids then you are being punished. While some abuse the system, most do not. Child poverty should not exist!
-
Too many abuse the system. I knew a woman who when told she would have to look for work when her child reached a certain age said 'I'll just have another' and she did. And did it more than once
-
I know that people do! The difficulty is that children still suffer and there should be a way to stop that happening. I do not disagree with the cap in principle for the reasons you highlight, but the reality is innocent kids suffering

The alternative is to give a shit about all children.

Benefits should be a fall back in hard times. Not a career.

I've always felt that child cap should be based on number of children at the start of the claim. If more children are subsequently conceived, tough luck, no more money (exceptions for assault). Free contraception is available.

Where there is "Free money" there is always fraud, it is taxpayers money, so should be the policy.

For someone who, "loves socialism," your TPA stance is remarkably inconsistent, bot.

Why should a traumatised female ever have to have this discussion with anybody she does not feel she wants to

Far too many see benefits as a career not a fall back in hard times
