Probably due to the fact Theresa May has done so much damage to the conservatives when it comes to leaving the EU. The closer we get to leaving the higher he'll get in the polls.

The Tories will win easily. And thank God it will end the Corbyn and his cronies once and for all.

Once bitten.

We are much more jaded since 2016 and a lot harder to win back. He needs to give the people something they want now to show he means business. If I were him, I'd scrap hs2
-
They'd just blame him for the waste of money, damned if he does, damned if he doesn't
-
Those that hate him would. Bxp would say he's taking their policy (which he would be) but most would just be happy to see it go. That and the EDF nuclear station when EDF always go 500% over budget and a decade late

Once bitten and all that. We've heard all the Brexit promises before, think people are rightly cynical and waiting for deeds not words

I don't think Boris is going to be arse farting around talking about polls and his home life. I like that about him. He's got the ability to get this done, and he knows if he just gets on with it, he will do. Doesn't need to get sidelined with this bollox.

Boris “Garden Bridge” Johnson gets things done. If you disagree I’ve got an unused water cannon to sell.

But how did the GE go? Theresa May by her incompetence has almost destroyed trust in politics and the Conservative party. Boris is commited to Brexit, Theresa was not.

Maybe because May left the public feeling about the Conservative Party in a far worse state than her predecessor.

That's probably because May, like Johnson, started off by talking the talk, but miserable failed to walk the walk. Because of her dithering and outright lies she has dragged the Tories down into a pit that Boris needs to climb out of.

Yes, because Theresa May came out saying all the right things, just as BJ has. After 3 years, however, people have lost trust in them. If he does what he says with Brexit, and can also realise his other promises, the honeymoon period will strengthen. Not long to wait.
