“By any means necessary”. Fuck business. Fuck jobs. Fuck the economy. Fuck EU citizens. Fuck the Union.

In favour of violence, Julia? Or trampling on the powers of parliament that Brexit is supposed to make sovereign?
-
Brexit was never about parliamentary sovereignty. It was about national sovereignty.

Only excellent if it doesn't mean a similar watering down of 'take back control' to that attempted by May, Barwell and Robbins.

The naivety of people. You all said the same things when May said "Brexit means Brexit". Some people just never learn.

I thought you didn’t like unelected representatives determining our country’s future?
-
Elected representatives voted to give us the choice. People voted for Brexit. Elected representatives voted to put that into law. 80% of people voted for Pro-Leave parties in a GE. The electorate and elected *are* deciding this countries future.
-
I’m not sure anyone voted for Dominic Cummings to have such a powerful role though?
-
Nobody did. Many people are in positions of responsibility (not power) that aren't elected. The entire country isnt ran by MPs alone. This is how it's always been - it can't work otherwise, did you care before? Your issue is with the outcome, don't blame the system
-
I’m not complaining about that, simply pointing out the hypocrisy of those who repudiate the EU on the basis of ‘unelected representatives’ whilst gleefully welcoming the intervention of Dominic Cummings.
-
You can say the same about any member of the civil service. He doesn't have power, he has responsibility. His work won't be enacted off of his own back, but instead off of the back of (and with the approval of) the elected government. That's the difference.
-
Also, not an intervention. Its an appointment by the government.
-
Thanks for explaining to me
. Doesn’t change the fact that you have missed my point completely. Have a good evening. - 4 more replies
