What is wrong with this ridiculous Alison Riske woman playing Serena Williams in the Wimbledon QF? Every single time she hits a shot, she shouts “hoy!” Surely it’s time for tennis authorities to stop this nonsense? The men don’t do it. Deduct a point every time. That’ll sort it.pic.twitter.com/NBOaExWKgb

I actually stopped watching women’s tennis. Not because I did not enjoy it or did not appreciate their skill levels. Simply because of all the noise

That'd be pretty hilarious "eyyy" before the shot then "up!" after hitting it 😂

I can't believe nobody has adopted that already. They should train all Northern kids to do this, then in a few years we'll know which to cheer on.

Need to stop the inequality , same prize money for 60% of the work , 5 sets for men 3 for women #GenderPayGap

There is only 1 reason why women don't play best of 5 in slams: the challenge of incorporating that additional court time into 2 week tournament. Women should play 5, most are happy to. Or perhaps men should play 3, as they do for the majority of the tour?

Both would make it more fair , all’s I’m doing here is pointing out that it’s clear inequality in this case

I get that, your tone is just a bit accusatory towards the players. They will train the same regardless of what the slams decide. And 5 sets are not more 'work', they can be a desirable fallback i.e. its easier beating Novak in 3 than 5.

5 sets is more work than 3 if we’re talking about output , at least 95% of the time their may be the odd outliers , again I’m just pointing towards the hypocrisy. I saw a comment equal pay for equal work about USA women’s teams , that rule changes when it suits them , like tennis

Problem now is a lot of men grunt at shots. Nadal been doing it for years and yesterday him and his opponent both grunting like mad. Had to turn it off.
