One of the most tedious aspects of the Brexit saga is its proponents’ repeated habit of blaming everyone and everything else for the problems of their project.https://twitter.com/FraserNelson/status/1147421386186641408 …

It’s a utopian project because none of its advocates (or very few)-during the campaign or since-has been truly honest about the trade offs involved. When those trade offs become apparent, other elements (the media, Parliament, the courts, the EU itself) are always found to blame.

It is fine. We don't get what we want then the Brexit party will eventually deliver it. All roads lead to that. It is truly amazing that all the "clever" people in Westminster don't get it. The Brexit party will eventually stand on a manifesto to leave without a referendum.

You have a short memory, Julia. Brexit was supposed to lead us to the “sunlit uplands”.https://twitter.com/vote_leave/status/744908829901611008?s=21 …

We would be holding all the cards the day after the result, and would have the exact same benefits as now plus trade deals with the same countries as the EU if I remember correctly. Not to mention the bus. Whoops.

If anything is a utopian project it’s the EU ! Ffs ! Utterly deluded!pic.twitter.com/MEeHWSKfj4

So, "no downside", "sunlit uplands" and "a new hospital every week" doesn't add up to a utopian project?

more like 35% of the electorate, and they voted for a dystopian project

Thank God even fewer voted to remain

Bit of a change in tune Julia, what happened to all the great benefits? Or is this the damage limitation moment when you try to pretend you didn't lie to people about all those unicorn benefits? You need to own this, it's your turd, you polish it

52% of votes cast = 37% of electorate. -
And even fewer than 37% voted to remain

I think you’re in for a shock if you don’t think many of those who voted for Brexit are expecting significant material improvements in their lives. That’s why Brexit will fail - you see it as an end in itself and not a means to change

Plenty promising paradise during campaign. "No downside", "easiest deal ever", need to find someone to blame now.

Ah the start of the climbdown. Julia in your heart you know that no-deal will be an economic disaster.
