Personally I don’t think it’s big or clever for Brexit Party MEPs to turn their backs during the EU anthem. But the EU isn’t a nation so it only offends Juncker, Tusk etc. Wearing T-shirts emblazoned with “Bollocks To Brexit”, as LibDems did, is an offence to democracy & the 52%pic.twitter.com/frZrsHDsEe

The #EU is no country, has no anthem, no flag & not a single consultate in the world to renew any Visa. Turning their back is the most polite attitude, the #Brexit Party MEPs could have. @BrexitAlex #NotMyAnthem #NotMyFlag #NotInMyNamepic.twitter.com/GHc6pb0Fja

The EU is not a nation. Nations have anthems. They are just trading partners, a trading block. Why the hell do they need an anthem? The yellow T shirts are a direct b###cks to democracy.

The anthem has been around for quite some time. The army...the "tomorrow" bit has yet to materialise. You're not the brightest, are you?

I agree...whatever we think of the EU, it is juvenile & disrespectful behaviour by the Brexit Party. Doubt they'll gain any more supporters that way.

Doubt they’ll lose any either. Thought it a tad disrespectful to the young musicians to be fair. Probably wouldn’t have chose to turn my back, maybe remain seated

They did remain seated. They were then told to stand up by one of the Presidents and insulted by him. Hence why they did stand up as requested. Why should they just do what they are told by a nobody?

Brexit Party and and former UKIP MEPs have never recognised the EU Flag or Anthem, so it's nothing to do with being big or clever. This act was about turning their back on the EU Dictatorship!
