Get your popcorn ready, folks. The hot tip to take over from Juncker as the next European Commission President is German Ursula von der Leyen who once said: “My goal is the United States of Europe – based on the model of the federal states of Switzerland, Germany or the US".

Junker is(was) a drunken disgrace and along with Verhofstadt and Tusk little more than an international embarrassment, but this one is insidious and potentially dangerous and we should thank our lucky stars we've taken our last opportunity to get out of it.

And still people are in denial about it. Easiest way to subdue people, emprison them in a jail of their own making (under the auspices of freedom) so that before long they have walked in blind faith to their own demise

Not really a secret though is it? I mean the only way the EU project works is if it becomes federalised United States of Europe. Good luck to them I say, I just don;t want to be part of it.

The annoying thing is, it's obviously been the aim of the EU since the start really. I think the idea was to integrate to the point where it is impossible to disentangle, then say 'oh well we may as well make it official and become federalised'.
