Here’s what’s going on. Jeremy Corbyn’s Magic Grandpa schtick isn’t working anymore & he won’t give in to Remain demands for Labour to back a 2nd Referendum. So he’s now surplus to requirements. So they’re using his “frailty” as an excuse to ditch him for a new Remain leader.pic.twitter.com/RyIxkFibte

The Times have a great scoop about how civil servants think. Civil servants are mostly Remainers. Making more sense now?

Civil servants are remainers by a huge majority. Why? Because they know the damage Brexit will do to schools, to hospitals, to social services and to jobs and livelihoods. They'll be the ones dealing with the shit. Meanwhile JHB just lies, stirs hatred and collects paycheck.

Stop feeling sorry for Theresa May. She didn’t serve the country that she loved, as she claimed. She worked for three years to undermine the biggest democratic vote in our country’s history. She served her own interests to stay in office. She has brought our country to its knees.

That's it, a minor quibble about turn out? Nothing about punishment budgets, rising unemployment, collapsing house prices, falling stock markets or a long deep recession that we were promised the moment the result was announced if we voted leave?

Nice attempt at deflection, a technique you've used before. You didn't even attempt to counter the point I made about civil servants or to disagree that you stir hatred and collect your paycheck.

The climate changes. Humans may well be contributing to that change. The claims that we are hurtling towards the end of civilisation/the human race/earth are all patently ridiculous.

I'd be really interested to know why you don't believe either what 96% of climate scientists, all national scientific bodies and pretty much every government knows based on actual evidence - and your own eyes - and instead choose to believe charlatans with no qualifications.

I’m a health physicist. I’ve seen scare stories kick off once in a while (heating / ice age). I’ve heard of good scientists being ostracised because their data will not match a scare. I think it is a natural fluctuation due to sun spots e.g. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maunder_Minimum … 1/2

I’ve seen graphs which make sense to me (that Co2 isn’t the bad-boy). I’m all for using tidal/wind/solar where practical & for lowering pollutants - exhaust fumes, lead, mercury etc. Plastic is a problem too as it gets into the food chain. Bring back the paper bag. 😁2/2
