Here’s what’s going on. Jeremy Corbyn’s Magic Grandpa schtick isn’t working anymore & he won’t give in to Remain demands for Labour to back a 2nd Referendum. So he’s now surplus to requirements. So they’re using his “frailty” as an excuse to ditch him for a new Remain leader.pic.twitter.com/RyIxkFibte

Jeremy Corbyn was never anything more than a useful idiot for the Left to get into power. But now his bubble has burst thanks to the anti-semitism scandals & his own arrogance & incompetence, the Left want to ditch him for a new, less tainted leader.

Meanwhile, the Remain camp see this as their opportunity to get a Remainer into the leadership. Their biggest fears? Not getting a 2nd referendum because Labour won’t endorse it - AND getting one but the Remain campaign being led by the eurosceptic Corbyn as Labour leader.

If Corbyn was a staunch europhile and would commit Labour to a 2nd Referendum, campaigning for Remain, most of his current critics (whether Blairites, the Left or senior civil servants) would quietly ignore his anti-semitism, incompetence and “frailty”.

And here’s the really fun bit. The only candidate that the Left and the Remainers can agree on as their next Labour leader in waiting is.... wait for it... drum roll... Emily Thornberry. Yes, really. This is going to be hilarious.

Seems more and more like Remain = Left and Leave = Right (political). And Corbin no longer fits with the generally remain Burmese of the majority Left. “So let’s stick a knife in him, he has passed his sell by date” McDonnel is waiting in the wings... even more dangerous.

He is the man with the power but even he knows he's too tainted to be leader. I reckon Thirnberry or Long-Bailey. Although Watson is obviously having a go too.

Watson looks to me to be the sensible next Labour leader but is he is too moderate maybe?

Full disclosure- I'm not a Labour supporter, I was just commenting on who I thought it would be rather than who I think it should be. I find the current shadow cabinet generally low calibre with the poss exception of Starmer but there's talent on the backbenches imo.

Me neither. Labour currently provides a very weak opposition to the Conservatives and it’s only the potential delay of Brexit that’s giving them any hope of power.

I would never under any circumstances support Corbyn and the sewer of anti Semites & terrorists he supports. I don't care how much of a brexiteer he is.

Missing my point, she’s saying remainers would support him if he committed to a confirmatory referendum. Like you nothing could make me consider voting for Corbyn. You can’t accuse one side and not expect it to be thrown back at you.

Are you sure? Speaking as a former Labour voter who voted Remain (but is opposed to a second referendum), I wouldn't vote Labour under Corbyn - because of his anti-semitism, mysogyny, incompetence, etc - under any circumstances.

Jeremy just like Tony Benn with his views on in or out. Like Tony Benn regarded as hard left nut job. As regards BoJo what views describe you if you're centre right as he describes himself?
