The Conservative party denies they have an Islamophobia problem. Trying to undermine the data ... What a fcking surprise!

It’s a legitimate question. It may be that the Tory members hold very different views from most of us. Or they may be representative. That’s all
-
Yeah, and that would change things how? "Its okay, Conservatives belive in the same crazy racist bollocks as the rest of the country." It's not a defence of the views held by a significant number of the party.

Straight from the corbynite playbook, "anti-semitism in the Labour Party reflects wider society" etc There's still clearly a problem here.

If you suspect that over 40% islamaphobia is representative of the wider UK, then no one can be criticised for saying we have a racism problem that needs tackling.
-
Islam isn't a race. So your point is invalid.
-
Well observed, but islamophobia isn’t criticism of the faith. It is the discrimination of people who follow the faith. If you categorise persons strictly by the faith they adhere to you define them (the persons) as a race.
-
It isn't and you don't. Thanks.

Is there any reason why the British People should not decide how many and what kind of immigration we need?
-
A lack of qualification for the role, is the first thing that springs to mind.
-
Thank you for using your undoubted intellectual skills to give us your considered opinion of the British People..
-
Immigration will be linked to our trade policy given that Australia, America and India are all looking to get us to reduce restrictions on immigration for their people as part of trade agreements. The new trade bill has it that not even parliament will get a say on trade deals.
-
So good luck getting the input of the British people. Interesting that Brexit is more likely to increase immigration in future. That's Global Britain I guess.

The population at large isn’t selecting our next prime minister
-
They will, when there's a General Election. The question will still be as valid then, as it is now.
