Goodness me. There is absolutely no reason to believe she was ever in any fear at any time. I haven’t belittled anyone who’s been in an abusive relationship. Indeed, it’s the people pretending that a late night row = domestic violence who’re the ones belittling domestic violencehttps://twitter.com/adilray/status/1142872117467385857 …

Goodness me. Julia you belittle so many women and men who have been in abusive relationships and those that campaign on their behalf. Screaming doesn’t mean someone isn’t in need of help. This is so sad. https://twitter.com/JuliaHB1/status/1142710835195912193 …

But the police were called. Plod said they were happy that all was ok. It was the neighbours who undermined the police and called the Grauniad. Blame the neighbours, they screwed it up.

Some people are never going to get that it it’s not about calling the police , it’s about sending a tape to the Guardian .

The problem is that the neighbors recorded the row before calling a newspaper. This suggests it was nothing to do with being genuinely concerned for her wellbeing

The screaming could be heard in the street The screamed 'get off me' was clearly heard in the street. Do not put good people off reporting that kind of disturbance. The consequences could be catastrophic.

Maybe you should lobby to have the Metropolitan Police withdraw this PSA and offer an apology if you feel that strongly about it.https://twitter.com/Think_Blue_Sky/status/1142870453075218433 …

They were right to call the police, but no one can offer a sensible answer to why they recorded it and why they told the papers, except that it was all a stunt.

A 'stunt' is actually quite an apt description for Mr Johnson. He (still) might be our PM shortly. I don't want a violent one. The country should know.
