Manifesto promises have always been broken, Julia, when proved impossible to deliver and detrimental to the wellbeing of the nation. They should be.

This was far more than a manifesto promise. It was the will of the majority of the people.
-
37% ≠ "will of the people" Thanks for playing.

That's why voting should be a legal necessity. I voted to leave but if I'd lost, I wouldn't still be whinging about it three years on. If more under 30's could have been bothered to put down their devices, get off of their arses & vote, I believe remain would have won.

Wrong. Scottish Devolution Referendum in 1979 - not enacted as failed to reach the required threshold. This was precisely how the 2016 referendum should have been set up. The legislation to create a Scottish Assembly was already passed by Parliament subject to a positive vote.
-
The 1918 general election was a resounding vote for Irish freedom. That was ignored. That’s why there’s a backstop.
-
Let's also not go back before the Parliament Act of 1911 - all manner of failures to carry through the wishes of the people.

We will not stop until those who fed this horseshit to the U.K. public are out of office, those who broke the law are in jail and monsters like you who use it to fuel hatred, division and lies are out of a job It may not feel like it, but you are working your notice.

And strangely the long journey, from then to now, that we have been taken on by those who are attempting to thwart the will of the people has arrived at the door of a flat in Camberwell where a couple had an argument over a sofa-stain. What a strange world it is we live in.

It WAS honoured Julia. The PM negotiated a deal to Leave which was voted down by extreme Brexiters. Cut it out with the "betrayal" BS. You could have been out in March!
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Your fourth sentence is blatantly untrue. The government set up the Department for Exiting the EU. Secretaries for Brexit and International Trade were created with shadow equivalents. Article 50 was triggered, withdrawal negotiated. And you Brexiters said "no" to the withdrawal.
-
And of course - how did I forget this - the referendum was advisory, so what you do with it is a political choice, not a question of upholding our democratic system.

Boaty McBoatface was the first betrayal. Didn’t hear you screeching at the time...
-
I thought that too, and if I'd been David Attenborough, I'd have changed my name by deed poll to "Boaty McBoatface" to see if they would call the ship "Sir Boaty McBoatface". (Suspect that would have underlined the contempt for democracy.)
