We have lost all compassion. I see that OP says that she doubled back eventually, but what person sees an accident and does not race over to see if the person lying prostrate on the ground is ok? A sad reflection of Londoners not wanting to get involved.

No one seems to be in reality and in the moment any more. When I travel into London on the tube, I'm one of the tiny minority not stroking a phone for almost the whole journey.
-
Even walking along the street, many are staring at their phones. People don’t talk to each other. They don’t engage. Even in social situations like pubs and bars.

Could clearly see she was going to the cyclist, and trying to stop motorists turning that way.

I don't know about that, from my perspective she is going to stand in front of the cyclist to stop traffic and vehicles heading towards them. Glass Half Full Guy here

That’s exactly as I see it too. Julia, she is helping, she even made for a different direction from the crossing in order to stop any traffic coming round the corner.

You can see her stopping to turn round.

She returned immediately in the full video, if you bothered to watch instead of moaning about her

A few weeks ago I helped a teenager who got hit by a slow moving car that she walked out in front of (just minor cuts, bruises and dignity injured!). The police said very few people now are willing to stop and help. Too busy and don’t want to get involved. Very concerning.
-
Thats tragic. I had similar thing recently. Young lad about 4 lost his mum at a very busy food festival, crying his eyes out. I just held his hand and calmed him down & stood with him until his mum turned up 5 mins later also in bits. Fs if we don't help who will?
-
Yup. Not good. I can’t understand it at all.

-
An irrational fear of what other people might think of you? Like I care?
-
I can see that some people may be intimidated by a crash scene (not me..sleeves up and straight in!) It can be nasty, but that doesn’t stop them phoning for help etc. The lost kid thing is unforgivable. It’s essential to protect them from bad people or accidents.
-
Yup. Not hard.

The bloke says she did stop moments later and doubled-back. Attack of conscience perhaps.
-
She initially moves to the road to warn other motorists. Good thinking and shouldn't be criticised for that.

It actually looks like she is blocking the traffic so no one swerves around the corner and does him again.
-
Well spotted.

I’m not sure that’s what’s happening there, Julia, I think she was walking to look up the junction to make sure there isn’t oncoming traffic. Look again.
