The 1st time I ever heard the word “Londonistan” was by a Muslim journalist friend c2002 who said it was commonly used by Islamic extremists in the UK in reference to how easy it was for them to operate freely in our country. Bugger all to do with Sadiq Khan - not even an MP then

That said, I’m pretty sure Katie Hopkins and Donald Trump deliberately used “Londonistan” as a not-so-subtle attack on Sadiq Khan being a Muslim. But the word has a long established meaning already.

And also, it’s got bugger all to do with knife crime in London too - hence why it’s clear Hopkins and Trump were using the term Londonistan as a way to attack Khan simply for being Muslim.

It's now used widely due to the fact there are so many Muslims in London.

Was also the name used by french intelligence. Again a reference to the number of people with extramarital views who were given asylum.

Leaving aside the various strands in your comments, in North Yorkshire and Wiltshire, the term 'Londonistan' is used as a way of describing what was London but is now, without a doubt, a third world s**thole with a particular and increasing community turning it ever more so.

I think any area with a large proportion of ethnic residents is known like that. Londonistan, my home town of Bradistan (Bradford) and I'm sure there are many others. Not particularly nice, but a bit pathetic if people find them offensive!

It was a terrible shame when concrete barriers had to be installed around important places in London to protect diversity not to mention other major cities up and down the land.

It’s not racist to compare one place to another? 🤔they could have called it ‘LondUSSR’ what’s this got to do with race or religion? Maybe ‘londonistan’ perhaps symbolised a area of conflict or war zones etc @SadiqKhan’s failed policies to protect the people?

Or it could reflect that you walk down the roads in a lot of places as a minority now as a white British person! Not sure why you feel you need to look at stirring an already stirred pot even more! Could use your time to try to resolve matters directly affecting Britain instead
