Another Sunday morning, another Remoaner on my telly (it’s @hilarybennmp’s turn today) calmly talking about how he plans to overthrow the democratic vote for Brexit because he doesn’t like it & being treated as a wise statesman rather than the extremist he actually is. Sigh.

the people never voted for this person - new PM has never had to face the people - it is totally undemocratic - people have not had their say on this person, only 160K mostly old white men - why do they get to have their say and not the 60+ million? there is no democracy

why should the people have to wait until 2022 to have their say on an undemocratically selected PM? simple solution - yes the largest party can choose the PM PROVIDED there is an immediate general election for the people to have their say - that is democratic

if new PM knew a general election would follow, the candidates would probably be pushing policies now that they think would win the election rather than appeal to only 160K people thinking they can avoid the general election - the country suffers from the lack of true democracy

still haven't heard how 160K mostly old white men picking the PM for 60+ million then governing without a mandate is democratic - I guess you can't explain that or justify an oligarchy - by the way the biggest party doesn't have a majority in case you haven't heard
